Traineeship Success at The Contact Company
Torileigh Armstrong, Ryan Fagan, Matthew Wheeler, Justin Dooly, Marlon Jones and Charlie Stones all participated in the programme, which was set-up at the end of last year to help support young people in to the world of work. Stuart Lindsay, The Contact Company’s Work-based Apprenticeships and Learning Coordinator, led the programme:
“We set the programme up for young people who may have little to no experience, but bags of talent and potential. We support these individuals, by providing them with the skills they need to gain employment, whether this be with ourselves or elsewhere- through functional English and Mathematics skills, C.V. and interview skills, workplace competencies and much more. We’re very pleased to say that each fantastic graduate has been offered and has accepted employment with The Contact Company. It’s been a great success”.
The venture was also supported by the Department for Work and Pensions, as well as Knowsley Works. Both organisations visited on the day to congratulate the successful graduates, along with The Contact Company’s CEO, Asif Hamid MBE, who spoke to the group about the wide and varied career paths and the further learning which will be made available to the new TCC employees!
Here’s just some of the feedback received from programme Graduates…
“ I really enjoyed my time learning a new role, meeting new people and learning new skills. I would recommend this programme to anyone looking for a new career path.“
“ I liked the learning that I was provided with; it has enabled me to achieve my goal of getting a job. I also received great support throughout my time.”
“ It was great to learn new skills and to be offered a job at the end of the programme! It has also improved my confidence. It was great, thank you.”
