The Contact Company Supports Claire House Cup

The annual Claire House Cup took place at the weekend and, of course, The Contact Company were there to support their lead charity of the year…

The Claire House Cup was started by the family of Elliot Wild, who sadly passed away in 2011 at the age of nine, following a battle with leukaemia. Crazy about football and Liverpool FC, Elliot was cared for at Claire House Children’s Hospice during the last few weeks of his life.

The event, which is in its sixth year, was sponsored by TCC, along with a number of local businesses and residents. TCC Employees also gave up their time to chip-in; selling water and sweets.

Many other local residents and businesses pledged their support in memory of Elliot by helping out, donating or playing. The total raised across the weekend was a staggering £22,835; taking the Claire House Cup fundraising total to over £250, 000.

The TCC team also spent some time raising local peoples’ awareness about jobs and handing out freebies! If you’d like to know more about our current vacancies, then simply get in touch.

Last year, TCC raised over £8,000 for Claire House, with £2,000 of this total being raised at TCC’s Got Talent 2016. Due to the success of last year, we’ve decided to host TCC’s Got Talent 2017! For tickets, please visit our Facebook event page. All proceeds will be going to Claire House.

Claire House Children’s Hospice offers care to children with serious and terminal illnesses, as well as support for their entire family. Through expert nursing care, therapies and experiences, the hospice helps bring back a sense of normality to family life.
