The Contact Company Says “Thank You” to Claire House Supporters
Last Monday, The Contact Company volunteers took to the phones to help Claire House Children’s Hospice say “thank you” to all of their fantastic supporters.
This is the second time that TCC has supported Claire House in saying a big thank you to all of their Claire House Heroes, having supported the same event in 2016.
The Claire House Story: Claire Louise Cain passed away in 1989, just before her 10th birthday, after a courageous battle with cancer. In the months that followed Claire’s passing, the Cain family came to the conclusion that the area had more to offer for families of children with life-limiting illnesses. The Cain’s decided the families needed a dedicated place of support; to help make their child’s final days more comfortable, whilst enabling all of the family to be together in their difficult time.
Volunteers at The Contact Company worked for two hours and called over 1500 fantastic Claire House volunteers and fundraisers. The event was such a success that TCC Project Manager, Rebecca Ball, who headed-up the event with the team at Claire House, is already looking to plan the next evening…
“This is the second time we’ve supported Claire House with their “thank you” calls, and we’re looking to organise another event to work through even more calls soon. The event is so lovely and unique; it’s an amazing way to support Claire House as an organisation, helping them achieve their goals. We’re really looking forward to the next event to finish what we started!”
