Employee of the Month, March 2017- Debbie Pendleton
Congratulations to The Contact Company’s Employee of the Month for March, Debbie Pendleton!
Debbie is a Team Leader on a busy children’s retail campaign. Since joining the team, Debbie has continuously implemented positive improvements. Operations Manager, and Debbie’s Line Manager, Alex Maher: “Since joining this team in January, I have been astounded by the progress Debbie has made both personally and professionally- her confidence has improved week on week, and this has really shown through the performance of the team.
To ensure that she was improving and meeting the requirements of her team, Debbie undertook a “Stop/Start/Continue” questionnaire, to harvest feedback from her team on her management style. The feedback from Debbie’s team was 100% positive! Here are some of the things the team had to say about their Team Leader…
“We are a happy team thanks to Debbie.”
“Debbie is extremely supportive- she values both individuals and the team.”
“The whole team adores her.”
“Debbie makes sure we get the praise we deserve- we are never forgotten about.”
Debbie has also put herself forward to complete an NVQ in Team Leading, funded by TCC, and has been coming on in leaps and bounds! Debbie’s NVQ training provider asked that Debbie be a Learning Ambassador for the group, and her NVQ Assessor got in touch to let us know how she’s been getting on… “Debbie is an excellent learner and completes all tasks set. She is professional and extremely organised- a credit to the business.”
Debbie has been a huge part of the campaign’s success. During February, the campaign experienced a sudden, increased level of customer queries. Debbie took this in her stride and ensured that every customer received the best possible experience, as well as supporting her direct reports with the unexpected extra workload.
When Operations Manager, Alex, let the client know that he was going to be nominating Debbie for the Employee of the Month award, they concurred with an email of support for Debbie’s nomination: “Debbie has been a real asset to the team. She joined during the peak period, with a backlog of queries- this did not phase her, she turned things around in the space of a few weeks and got our customer service back up to speed. Debbie’s a pleasure to work with and always has a positive attitude. We are very grateful to have her as our Team Leader.”
