Employee of the Month, January 2018
Congratulations to The Contact Company‘s Employee of the Month for the month of January, Paula Murdoch.
Paula is a Customer Service Advisor on the Superdrug campaign and is always happy to do her utmost for the customers she speaks to.
Last month, Paula took it upon herself to go above and beyond for her customer. Operations Manager, Shelby Kehoe, explains…
“The customer initially contacted us as her local store does not usually stock Superdrug’s DARE magazine in-store, so the customer and her daughters hadn’t been able to check offers/new products. Paula got her hands on some DARE magazines and sent 3 out to the customer to ensure they had visibility of the new products and the offers running, as well as contacting the store to pass on this feedback.
Following this gesture, we received a ‘Thank You’ card from the customer, highlighting the kindness and thanking Paula for her service. The customer referred to Paula as “wonderful” and signed the card off as “a very happy customer”. Paula has gone above and beyond to ensure this specific customer’s expectations were met and faith was restored in her favourite brand!”
CEO, Asif Hamid, added: “I was delighted to learn of your efforts to help the customer. You had such a positive impact on the customer that she took the time to send you a card expressing her appreciation. You have truly gone ‘over and above’ your role.”

1.What is the best thing about your job?
The difference between each day; all the different types of mail and correspondence, dealing with stores and manufacturers.
2. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Bingo, reading and spending time with my family.
3. Is there anything that people may not know about you?
I was a Bell-ringer in church in my teen years!
4. If you were an animal, what would you be and why?
A Cat- they’re always looked after and come and go as they please…
5. What do you find most challenging about your job?
Making sure I’m emailing the correct manufacturers/email addresses and sending the right details to Royal Mail.
6. What is your greatest achievement?
7. Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?
Doing the same job, as it’s fulfilling and enjoyable.
