Employee of the Month, January 2017 – Stuart Lindsay

Congratulations to January’s Employee of the Month, Stuart Lindsay!

Stuart is a trainer on a fast-paced TV/signal-based campaign. There’s always lots to learn, and lots to update the team on, and Stuart has excelled in his first few months as campaign trainer; suggesting processes to improve the overall training performance of his campaign, Stuart has displayed a high level of dedication and passion.

TCC Training Lead, Kaley Foran: “Since becoming a campaign trainer, [Stuart] has been so passionate and enthusiastic about the training and development of all employees (especially Advisors). He is like a breath of fresh air to speak to and is always in regular communication with myself about the projects he is working on. Stuart aims to improve the quality of specific processes we have in place for new Advisors- he has come to me with various ideas, which are fantastic!”

Stuart has been commended for his ability to look at the bigger picture; understanding how a robust process for one campaign can be cascaded to have a positive effect on the business as a whole…

Learning & Development Trainer, Dave Hargreaves: “He has quickly proven himself as an example, with a personable focus and a genuine care for the training he delivers. Stuart exudes positivity and is 100% motivated for driving success. Stuart’s positive approach and attitude towards his work is clear to anyone who receives training from him; he is an excellent example of the ‘entrepreneurial spirit’ we promote as a business.”

Stuart has also been sure to cater to the team’s needs when designing and delivering his training, and has made suggestions that he feels will benefit the development of his colleagues.

Account Manager, Andrew Callander: “Stuart has engaged with the Advisors to harvest their views on how things could be better and tailored his training to their needs (both as a team and as individuals). This level of detail has had a big impact on the team’s engagement.”

We caught up with Stuart, to find out what he most enjoys about being a trainer and how he feels about cheese…

 

1.What brought you to TCC?

I wanted to come back after some time away from the contact centre- I used to be a Team Manager many moons ago!

 

2.  What do you most enjoy about being a campaign trainer?

I really enjoy getting to know people from throughout the business- and just the sheer diversity of the role! It gives me great satisfaction to see people really coming along, developing and being the best they can be.

 

3. If you were invisible for the day, what would you do and why?

I’d be a fly on the wall in LFC’s dressing room after losing a game!

 

4. What’s your biggest achievement?

My double teapot impression… [?!]

 

5. What’s your goal for the next 12 months?

To progress within the Learning & Development department.

 

6. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Spending time with my family; especially my Grandson. I also enjoy going for regular walks with Mrs Lindsay, and going abroad (all the culture and that…)

 

7. What do you find most challenging about your job?

Managing my time to squeeze the best out of everything!

 

8. Finally, the most important question: what’s your favourite type of cheese?

It’s got to be Lancashire… A nice, crumbly Lancashire!
