Employee of the Month, September 2016- Yasmin Wallace
Congratulations to our Employee of the Month for September: Yasmin Wallace! Yasmin is a Customer Service Advisor on the Superdrug campaign and delivers her role with passion and enthusiasm day after day. Yasmin has recently undertaken TL assessment after putting real effort in to her own personal development.
Yasmin went above and beyond her job role, to produce exceptional customer service: A Superdrug customer got in touch to purchase another “Oscar Bear” for their autistic Grandson. The customer told Yasmin that their little Grandson had loved the bear so much, and had taken him everywhere, but that Oscar had become a little tired and worn as a result. Yasmin checked availability across all estates, but could not find another Oscar Bear; bar one… Yasmin had purchased an Oscar bear for herself. In a selfless and kind act, Yasmin spoke to her line managers and arranged to have her own, un-opened Oscar Bear sent to the Customer, free of charge. The customer and their Grandson were delighted and got back in touch to say thank you.
Operations Manager, Alan Donaghy: “This kind and thoughtful act really underlines both the values of TCC and what makes this business a great place to work. I feel very proud to have Yasmin as part of my team. At no stage was this action suggested to Yasmin, she simply took it upon herself to do the right thing.”
We had a chat with Yasmin, to find out what she enjoys most about TCC and which famous person she’d like to swap shoes with for a day…
1. What prompted you to send your Oscar Bear to the customer?
I know how attached people can get to specific objects, so when the customer’s Grandad contacted us saying how much his grandson loved the bear, I wanted to make sure he had spares in case it got damaged or lost.
2. If you could be a famous person for the day, who would you be and why?
Mike Wazowski, so people wouldn’t know whether I was blinking or winking.
3. What do you enjoy most about your job?
The Superdrug Team! I really enjoy working with the people on my campaign.
4. If you could change one thing about your job, what would it be and why?
There’s nothing that comes to mind.
5. Do you have a nickname?
Not that I’m aware of…
6. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I love to get in to my PJs and go to sleep any chance I get!
7. What is your greatest achievement?
I’m only 19, so I think my greatest achievement is yet to come.
8. Where would you like to be in a year’s time?
Further developed in the role I’m in now. I also wouldn’t mind being on a yacht somewhere abroad, but a girl can dream!
Thank you and congratulations, Yasmin!
