Employee of the Month, October 2016- Rebecca Ball

Congratulations to our Employee of the Month for October: Rebecca Ball! Rebecca is The Contact Company’s Project & Process Co-Ordinator and works tirelessly each day to implement new processes and manage projects with great enthusiasm; always ensuring that the business is performing to the best of its capability. Rebecca recently held training sessions for TCC colleagues, to explain the new Change Control system- which she had designed and implemented.

Andrew Callander, TCC Account Manager and Client Services Colleague: “[Rebecca is] helping people see beyond their role through the change control system. Since it has gone live, she has worked hard to ensure people are using it correctly- this has included helping those who are struggling and encouraging those who are already using the system with success.”

And it’s not just her day job that Rebecca gives 110% to- she also finds the time to be a key member of the TCC Charity Champions team.

Jessica Campbell, Claire House Corporate Fundraiser: “I would highly recommend Rebecca for employee of the month – I think she is a superstar! From our first meeting in January, Rebecca has gone above and beyond to support Claire House and we have been overwhelmed with the efforts she has put in to organise fundraising events and engage colleagues with the charity. Last month, Rebecca organised a volunteering evening at TCC where we called our Claire House supporters and thanked them for their generosity over the past few months. Rebecca rallied a team of TCC volunteers and we were able to contact and thank more than double the number of supporters than in previous years – amazing! I cannot thank Rebecca enough for taking the time, outside of her normal day-to-day job, to lead the charity committee and do so much to support Claire House.”

Andrew added, “I realise this isn’t a nomination about a singular example of somebody going above and beyond what is normally expected of them, but I do feel it is in recognition of continuous hard work and the right attitude to making this company the best it can be.”

We had a little chat with Rebecca, to find out why she loves being a TCC Charity Champion and what she would do if she were invisible for the day…

1. What do you most enjoy about your job?

My job is really versatile, I never do the same thing every day and I get to interact with all departments across the business, which is really interesting.

2. Where’s the best place you’ve ever visited?

Barcelona, it’s absolutely beautiful!

3. If you could change one thing about your job, what would it be and why?

To have someone in a similar role to work with and bounce ideas off each other.

4. What is the best thing about being a TCC Charity Champion?

The best thing is working with such a diverse group of people, creating such amazing events like TCC’s Got Talent.

5. If you were invisible for the day, what’s the first thing you would do?

Other than panic, I’d steal from the rich and give to the poor…

6. What is your greatest achievement?

Personally, buying a house on my own. Work-wise, either achieving a Project Management Certification or Implementing CMSP.

7. Got any good jokes?

I don’t, so here’s one I googled…What’s Harry Potter’s way of getting to the bottom of a hill? Running…JK! Rolling.

Congratulations, Rebecca, and thank you!
